Pepper is one happy girl! Pepper was an owner surrender to the Colonial Heights Animal Shelter at such a young age. We think she is about 10-12 weeks old. Pepper was mostly kept in the crate early on in her life, so BRAG took her into rescue! Now that she's in her foster home, she has lots of room to run and play, and she is thriving!

Pepper's breed is a bit of a mystery, but we think she may have some terrier or even water dog in her. To her foster family, her breed doesn't even matter! Pepper is truly fearless, and always listens when called. She follows her fellow foster dog siblings (the pack!) and loves to explore. She always loves to know what is going on and really listens to what you are telling her. She has great focus for a puppy her age! She would do well in a home with another dog as she loves to play and is very social.

Pepper still has a lot of growing to do, and her foster mom think she may grow to be a mid-sized dog because she still has to grow into her paws! She fearlessly leaps off of beds (and can jump on them too) and is working on her house training. After only the second night in her foster home, she slept peacefully in her crate until her foster family was ready to start the day! She is learning that her crate is her happy place so that her new family will have a great crate-trained companion.

Her foster mom is working on house training her, and she is doing really well. Though she still has accidents in the house because she is so young, she is already learning that going to the bathroom outside is something to be proud of!

Pepper is up to date on vaccinations, and will need to be spayed by her adopter as part of her adoption contract.
